Lane 8 splits This Never Happened's byline three ways, and it pays off
Lane 8 handing his own imprint's spotlight to Kasbo and BJOERN in equal billing is a vote of confidence he doesn't extend often.
This Never Happened turns ten this year, and Lane 8 has spent most of 2026 marking it with anniversary radio takeovers and old sets, not new signings. The "World Is Mine" video, posted 24 July, breaks that pattern. It credits Lane 8, Kasbo and BJOERN as equals, nobody billed as a feature. That's rare for Lane 8's own label.
On our listen, this is the best record we've heard all year. The vocal carries it: not the hook a dance track reaches for, but a voice that wandered in from outside the genre and decided to stay. Calling this a typical dance track undersells it. It just sounds like a person, start to finish.
"World Is Mine" is the title track off a five-track release of the same name, out on TNH since 23 April and running 27:33 in full.
